EPLO at a glance


The European Public Law Organization (EPLO) established in 2007 in Athens, Greece is an international organization dedicated to the creation and dissemination of knowledge in the area of public law lato sensu, including but not limited to inter alia national, comparative and European public law, human rights law and environmental law for a better generation of lawyers and democratic institutions worldwide. To this date, it has developed, organized, promoted and supported more than 190 educational, research, training, institution building and other activities and has provided assistance to democratic institutions in more than 50 countries. In order to accomplish its purposes, the EPLO promotes the cooperation with other institutions, organizations and bodies, in particular organizations in the United Nations system.

Members


13 States, the European Commission, the Council of Europe, three public authorities (Ministry of Justice, Transparency & Human Rights of Greece, Ministry of Administrative Reform and e-Governance of Greece, Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina) and 64 Universities and Institutions comprise the EPLO Board of Directors.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Premises


The Headquarters of the EPLO are located in the heart of Athens in Kolonaki. The EPLO also has premises on the Bay of Cape Sounion, in the area of Legraina, overlooking the Aegean Sea. Standing on a plot of 32.500 square meters, the facilities include a large-scale conference hall with a capacity of 500 people, four seminar rooms with a capacity of 70 people each, a guesthouse of 11 double rooms and 2 suites, an open-air theater, courts and gardens.
